The Wiri Business Association is governed by an Executive Board of local business and property owners elected every October at the Annual General Meeting.
There are usually 5-11 volunteers on this board, who meet once a month to collaborate on the strategic direction of the association and receive reports on day to day operations. Board members bring a range of different skills and experience gained from their local business ventures and involvement on other boards and committees.
The Board is supported by representatives from the Manurewa and Otara Papatoetoe local boards.The organisational capacity of the Association has grown since its inception in 2006 to include a full-time General Manager and permanent part-time administration and communications staff.
