Nick Tuffley, ASB’s chief economist joined our members for breakfast at Woodside on the 18th June to give his insights and predictions for the economy following the government’s “Wellbeing Budget” release on May 31. The business community were reassured that while the markets and growth had slowed, the economy was still growing and in a more sustainable manner. Strong population growth, healthy export markets, and record low interest rates should all ensure steady progress into 2019/2020. Thank you to Wiri Licensing Trust, Manukau Business Association and ASB for a successful event.
